Rapid Health is an online clinical triage system which enables patients to book appointments without needing to phone the practice.  The AI driven engine, asks patients a number of questions about their problem.  Based on their answers, their need is then digitally triaged and they are offered a choice of appointments with a clinician best suited to their problem and in a timeframe appropriate to their clinical need.  The overarching aim is to reduce the 8.00 am appointment request surge, which places great pressure on the practice telephone system.

The program is fully funded by Patient Care Locally for one year, to enable a business case to be developed for consideration by the relevant Integrated Care Board.
